Training and Programs

Stillwaters training and programs tap into inner resources through a mindfulness-based, inside/out approach to resilience and renewal. Stillwaters is committed to calling forth the wisdom within by designing trainings and retreats rooted in mindfulness and self-reflection. Stillwaters offers two main pathways for cultivating these inner resources:

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR),  an evidence-based, internationally acclaimed program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD in 1979 and The Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
  • Customized retreats and training using the SLOW framework, including Reaching In to Reach Out to Others.  These programs are informed by the principles and practices of both MBSR and the work and writings of Parker Palmer and the Center for Courage and Renewal.  Palmer’s “Courage work” is grounded in identity, integrity, and vocational vitality discovered through wholeness.
